The Nature of Things depicts imaginary landscapes inhabited by figures from discordant imagery. Each scene is sourced from entirely different origins, yet the characters within are gathered as familiars. This collection of artwork explores a fascination with the unawareness, unfamiliarity, unsophistication, and unworldliness of innocence in contrast with the inevitable impurity ingrained in human nature. The combinations of different techniques and materials emphasize the contrasts which exist in these scenes. Much like reflections of our living world, these things come together and create a chaotic balance.
